    Healthy Vegan Green Goddess Dressing

    The weather is finally starting to warm up, and this Healthy Vegan Green Goddess Dressing is perfect for Spring, packed full of flavor and nutrients. It's perfect on top of this green goddess spring salad, as a dip for vegetables, or even in a pasta salad! So give it a try, your taste buds will thank you!

    Healthy Vegan Green Goddess Dressing

    Who doesn't love a good salad? And the best way to top off that salad? With this delicious, healthy homemade vegan dressing. This is the best vegan green goddess dressing we love to use this dressing not only on salads but also as a dip for our Roasted Mini Sweet Peppers.

    We make this vegan dressing with dairy-free yogurt and it tastes so good! If you already have a favorite vegan yogurt use that if not you can try one of our favorites such as Daiya's Greek Yogurt Alternative, Kitehill Greek Yogurt, and the not as thick but it still works and taste good SoDelicious plain yogurt. If you have the time you could also make your own vegan greek yogurt there are a lot of recipes online for it we like to use Darn Good Veggies recipe for vegan greek yogurt the texture will work well in this recipe.

    Ingredients For Vegan Green Goddess Dressing

    • Plan Vegan Greek Yogurt- thickens the salad dressing.
    • Apple Cider Vinegar - this gives the dressing a little tanginess.
    • Olive Oil - I use extra virgin olive oil with a mild flavor. 
    • Green Onion - cut off the white root and use the rest.
    • Parsley- Use fresh parsley in this recipe.
    • Basil - Use basil that is fresh in this recipe
    • Lemon Juice- For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice.

    How To Make Green Goddess Dressing

    The process is very simple, it only takes a few steps. Besides adding the yogurt first the vegan green goddess dressing will turn out the same no matter what order you add the rest of the ingredients. Just remember in a simple dressing recipe like this, each ingredient counts so make sure your ingredients are fresh and of good quality.

    First, roughly chop the green onions, parsley, and basil this step will assure everything gets nicely chopped up in the food processor.

    Then add the vegan greek yogurt first to the food processor followed by the chopped green onions, parsley, basil, and apple cider vinegar.

    Use a garlic press to press garlic into the food processor. If you don't have a garlic press you could use a Microplane grater or mince the garlic very well with a knife. Add in the olive oil and squeeze the juice from half a lemon on top of the other ingredients in the food processor.

    Pulse several times to begin to blend. Scrape the sides of the food processor and pulse a few more times. You may need to scrape the sides again and pulse a few more times until all ingredients are well blended and smooth.

    Transfer homemade vegan green goddess dressing into a spouted serving container for drizzling or transfer it to a glass jar with a lid. Keep this dressing in the refrigerator.

    This vegan green goddess dressing will only have soy if you use soy-based greek yogurt. So that will be completely up to you.

    The Palace Hotel in San Francisco is well-known for its celebrity chefs and their lush, rich, dishes. One such dish that has been given a lot of fame over the years was created by one 19th-century French chef who wanted to create something new with fresh vegetables - Green Goddess Dressing!

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup Vegan Greek Yogurt see notes
    • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vineger
    • ¼ cup Olive Oil
    • ¼ cup Green Onion
    • 1 cup Parsley
    • 1 cup Basil
    • ½ lemon, juiced
    • 1 pinch Salt, to taste

    Instructions
     

    • First add vegan greek yogurt to the food processor
    • Roughly chop the green onions, parsley, and basil this step will assure everything gets nicely chopped up in the food processor. Add them to the food processor
