Peanut Butter Chocolate acorns are a fun fall treat that your kids will love making with you. My son is really into helping in the kitchen these days and he loved helping me make this easy fall snack. He pretty much made them on his own I just helped with melting the chocolate to stick everything together.
Ingredients for Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorns
This recipe only takes three simple ingredients.
- Hershey Kisses- as the acorn
- Mini Nutter Butter Cookie bites - Acts as the top of the acorn
- Mini Chocolate Chips- as the stem of the acorn and as the “glue” to hold them together
How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorns
Unwrap the Hershey kisses and set them aside.
Melt ¼ Cup of the mini chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until melted stirring in between each of the 30 seconds.
Dip the bigger end of the Hershey kisses into the melted chocolate then attach the nutter butter cookie to it using the melted chocolate as the glue. Continue until you have attaches all the cookies to the kisses. Let them sit for a minute for the chocolate to completely harden.
reheat the chocolate for 20 seconds if it has started to harden. Then dip the mini chocolate chips into the chocolate and attach them to the other side of the nutter butter bite to make the acorn stem. Put the tray of chocolate peanut butter acorns into the fridge to harden for a few minutes.
How To Store chocolate peanut butter acorns
These acorns are just as easy to store as they are to make. Just put them in a zip lock bag or an airtight container and leave them on the counter or in the refrigerator.
