    No Bake Butterscotch and Peanut Butter Bird Nest Cookies {Gluten Free Dairy Free Option}

    These no-bake bird nest cookies with butterscotch are so easy to make and have an easy gluten free, dairy free option. With only four ingredients and zero oven time, they're perfect for kids who like to help you cook, and yet satisfying enough you will love them too!

    Gluten Free Bird Nest Cookies

    We all know that gluten free baking can be difficult, but this recipe couldn't be any easier. It's also vegan and did I mention extremely tasty?! You can find gluten free chow mein noodles at many stores now or you can click here to get the ones I use from Amazon. They can be a bit crunchier but I found that they softened nicely when stirred with the warm peanut butter and butterscotch.

    Dairy Free Bird Nest Cookies

    If you want to make this vegan you can use vegan butterscotch chips I like the King David brand and you can find those on amazon. If you have the extra time you can make your own vegan butterscotch chips. I found a recipe from Dessert with Benifits that looks so good you can get the recipe by clicking here.

    Tips for Making No Bake Butterscotch and Peanut Butter Bird Nest Cookies:

    • Muffin tin: Use a muffin tin to scoop the nests into and that will help shape the nests.
    • Refrigerate: You will want to refrigerate the birds nests for about 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
    • Chips: Add in your favorite type of chips to make this your own!
    • Chow Mein Noodles: If you don’t have noodles on hand, or you can't find gluten free noodles you can use chopped pretzels instead
    • Eggs: You could use other types of eggs like M&M’s, jelly beans and maybe even a peep bird.

    Easter Bird's nest cookies are best stored in an airtight container at room temperature. They will keep for up to 5 days. If you want to keep them longer, you can store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks in an air-tight container.

    Can I freeze Birds Nest Cookies:

    Yes, you can freeze Bird's Nest Cookies without the eggs. Place them in a freezer-safe container and they will keep for up to 3 months. Let them thaw at room temperature and add candy eggs before serving.

    What is a No Bake Cookie:
